MAFF has noted that because of encoder problems during this
deployment temperature, pressure, and conductivity were terminated
at line 659 (1103 31 Jul 88). Also, speed, direction, u, and v are
of very poor quality in lines 659 through 1920 (1103 31 Jul 88
through 0003 22 Sep 89) and of poor quality thereafter.

The pressure and conductivity values in this record are based on
sensor calibrations made in the Fall of 1990, more than a year
after the recovery.

Because of the encoder problems mentioned above CMDAC has prepared
an alternate version of this file in which all the time series are
terminated at line 659 (1103 31 Jul 88) - i.e., only the good portion
of the record has been included.  Both the original and alternate
versions of the file are available at this site.
