      Originator cruise    col 55-61    'SSSS YY'
                                           where SSSS is 4 digit ALACE float
                                           serial number and
                                           YY is year of profile.
      Originator consec    col 64-66    'DDD'
                                           where DDD is integer day of year.
 
 Data editing:
   Each profile has been looked at and obvious bad points removed.
   No effort has been made to cross-check between instruments or with
     seasonal norms.
