Pressure and temperature are obtained directly from the SEACAT. Salinity is derived using Sea_Bird's software SBEDataProcessing. All 3 variables have been averaged into depth bins and then fitted to 1-decibar intervals by means of parabolic fitting. The "QUALTY (Quality)" data parameter value of "-3" indicates this parabolic fitting. The CTD instrument is Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc. Model 9 or 9 Plus. The pressure is reported in millibars, the temperature in degrees Celsius, and the salinity in parts-per-thousand, Practical Salinity Units.
