Dear Francis,

Attached is one zip file containing CTD data acquired during the 2002
season by the NOAA Ship WHITING and its launches.

NOTE: These files were submitted to me late (together with the 2003
files).   I had already submitted WHITING files for 2002 early last year
(accession # 0000893).  The files being sent now were NOT in that batch.

WHITING_2002_LATE.zip contains 97 files

These data are from WHITING surveys for updating U. S. Government
Navigational Charts.
Principal investigator: Commanding Officer, NOAA Ship WHITING
Start date: 2002-Apr-05
End date:  2002-Nov-13

The data were collected using a Sea-Bird SBE 19 SEACAT profiler.
Each file is in the WHOI CTD Exchange Format.

The filenames have format YYDDDHHM.ssA where

YY = 2 digit year
DDD = day-of-year
HH = hour of day (UTC)
M = first digit of the minutes of the hour
ss = ship code (WH = ship, W1 and W2 are launches #1 and #2.
A indicates "archive" file
