The controlling benchmark is BM 7, 1971, which is 5.191m above chart datum and 3.096m above geodetic datum. Comment : The hourly residuals show mild fluctuations within the tidal frequency band prior to 1990. It is estimated that the timing is off occassionally by about five- to fifteen-minutes. Only extreme fluctuations are noted below. The Station was reconstructed in 1971. Stilling wells are connected to the ocean by long horizontal intake pipes (through bedrock).
