Comment : The daily and monthly means reveal no apparent changes in the reference level. Data from Papeete-A are maintained in a separate record from Papeete-B because the two series are not linked to the same tide staff zero. Timing is no better than about +/- 8 minutes. This record is made up of two pieces that have been linked to the same tide staff zero. The second piece, Sept 1972-end, is from Matavai Bay, about a mile to the ENE in a separate lagoon.
