Data File F95BSM2_44M.SC This seacat thermistor failed partway through the deployment during times of colder temperatures but the initial temperature readings look good, even during colder temperature times. The thermistor came back to life when the water began to warm. Phyllis Stabeno defined the period of failure based on the calculated Salinity. This period is 00:00 24 Mar 1995 -> 00:00 10 Apr 1996. The Seacat depth is 44m. The mtr's on this mooring, above and below, functioned properly. The temperature used to recalculate Salinity was created in three parts 1) 23:30 13 Mar 1995 -> 23:30 23 Mar 1995 Original Seacat Temperature 2) 00:00 24 Mar 1995 -> 00:00 10 Apr 1995 mtr average Temperature(38m & 50m) 3) 00:30 10 Apr 1995 -> 01:00 30 Apr 1995 Original Seacat Temperature Phyllis hand edited salinity spikes in the resulting signal. The original temperature data is included in the file with epic code 1900, var0, with the bad data set to 1.0e+35.
