Here's a blurb about it I made for my weekly: Nonindigenous Marine Species Dr. Steve Coles and Dr. Lu Eldredge of the Department of Natural Sciences of the Bernice P. Bishop Museum provided a dataset and report titled " Nonindigenous Marine Species Introductions in the Harbors of the South and West Shores of Oahu, Hawaii 1997-1998." Locations included Honolulu Harbor, Keehi Lagoon, Kewalo Basin, the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, and the Barbers Point Deep Draft Harbor. This report includes an extensive bibliography of related work in these harbors, historical maps, a chronology of important events in these harbors, and the field data. The data were primarily species check lists from 32 sampling stations. Species included invertebrate megafauna and macroalgae, sediment-dwelling organisms and their substratum, fish, coral reef, and shore fauna. Data stored in tables of Microsoft Word documents and in EXCEL spreadsheets. The complete report with historic maps, chronology, and bibliography were provided in MS WORD format. Data and metadata were prepared and sent to NODC at SSMC. cheers, Pat -- Mr. Patrick Caldwell NOAA/NODC Hawaii/Pacific Liaison JIMAR, University of Hawaii at Manoa Honolulu, Hawaii 96822 USA// 808-956-4105
