Readme for the Multimedia part of the NIOP CD-ROM The Multimedia part of this CD-ROM is made by ETI, Mauritskade 61, NL-1092 AD Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This is a digital set of the Cruise Reports, where photographs from the "Third Ocean" book and video footage from GOA were added. To access this presentation you should run Windows 3.1 on a computer with a 80486 or better processor. Use the SETUP.EXE file in the Setup directory on this CD-ROM to create a Program Group called "NIOP" in your Windows system. In this Group the setup program will make five icons, "Theme A", from Cruise Report #4 "Theme B", from Cruise Report #1, "Theme C", from Cruise Report #5 "Theme D", from Cruise Report #2, and "Theme E", from Cruise Report #3. Double-Clicking any of these icons will open the cetral part of the Theme, the Navigator. You can access all other sections in the Theme by either clicking on the icons in the Navigator, or by selecting the sections from the File menu. Also from the File menu, you can access the Navigators of the other Themes. --The CD-ROM and Some Windows Screen Resolutions-- It is possible that on Windows systems with resolutions of 800*600 pixels or higher, the Overview picture will appear over the text. You must then tell Windows in the Windows Setup application to display Small Fonts. --Removing The Multimedia Software from Your Computer-- To remove the NIOP Software from your computer, you only need to throw away the Program Group "NIOP". No files will be copied to your computer and no changes will be made to your DOS or Windows System Files. September 1, 1995, Amsterdam Ing. Gideon Gijswijt, System Designer at ETI
