World Ocean Atlas 2018 (WOA18) release - October 11, 2018 updates previous versions of the World Ocean Atlas to include approximately 3 million new oceanographic casts added to the World Ocean Database and renewed and updated quality control.

The WOAselect is a selection tool in which the user can designate a geographic area, depth, and oceanographic variable to view climatological means or related statistics for the given variable. The source data for the climatological means and statistics is the World Ocean Atlas 2018 (WOA18).

The user may also download the data for the requested geographic area and variable for all depths in a comma separated value (csv) or a shapefile format which is compatible with GIS software such as ArcMap. Information about the formats is available at format description page.
