This page provides access to best-copy data from the GTSPP Continuously Managed Database (CMD). The best copy data files are assembled to provide the most complete data sets without duplication. The real-time profiles are represented in the file if the higher resolution delayed-mode profiles haven't been replaced by the NODC.

The best-copy data (individual station) files are split into three oceans and months of years, using the following folder hierarchy.

data this level

ocean (e.q. atlantic, indian, and pacific)

year (from 1990 to present)

month (01 - 12)

dbid.nc

dbid.nc (where dbid is a unique identifier in the CMD)

All of the stations for a month are compressed into one single file. Each month also has its own index file (inventory table) that lists the path and the file names of all files. The compressed data and inventory files can be accessed via http, ftp, OPeNDAP or THREDDS:
